Ozone is one of the most powerful oxidants available for this purpose. Delivered in micro-bubbles as a gas mixed with air or oxygen, or suspended in water, ozone provides a controllable, highly effective means of delivering a strong oxidant into site soils and groundwater.

Ozone can be combined with peroxide to provide the power of ozone with the oxidizing power of hydrogen peroxide to form an effective in-situ advanced oxidation process. Ozone mixes with hydrogen peroxide to form a strong advanced oxidation reaction that can be distributed in the subsurface consistent with the kinetic properties of a liquid, while providing some of the logistical benefits of a remedial approach that use gases.
